Tristan Casas extended from the field in the creepy Red Sox injury scene

The injury bug plagued the Red Sox and the first Baseman Triston Casas is the youngest victim.

The 25 -year -old Casas fell hard when he touched the first basis, while in the second inning of the game on Friday he ran a floor ball against the twins in Fenway Park.

When Casas fell, he immediately grabbed his left knee while the coaches stormed out of Boston to help him before he was finally stretched out of the field.

After the game, manager Alex Cora reporters said that Casas had suffered a “significant knee injury” and that he was still in a local Boston hospital.

Before his injury, Casas had a slow start for Boston and only hit 0.182 with an OPS of 0.580 in 29 games.

Casas has already dealt with a number of injuries in his short MLB career, last year with torn cartilage in his left chest.

His rookie year in 2023 was canceled last month due to shoulder inflammation.

Casas' injury on Friday is only one of many with whom the Red Sox opened the season, even though the majority influenced their pitching staff.

On Friday, the team announced that Starter Walker Buehler would be placed on the 15-day injured list in order to deal with inflammation in its throwing shoulder, although Cora does not believe that the injury is serious.

With his first six starts with Boston, Buehler kept a 4-1 record with an ERA of 4.28.

The right-handed Kutter Crawford also fights the patellar tendinopathy in his knee and does not yet have appeared this year.
