Father is looking for answers after the daughter's death at the University of California Santa Barbara

A father of the state of Washington urges answers to the investigation of the death of his 18-year-old daughter on campus at a California university at the beginning of this year.

The 18 -year -old Liz Hamel was found out on the campus of the University of California Santa Barbara on February 14th after he had apparently fallen from a breeze. She died days later.

But what led to her death remains a mystery.

“In the past few months we have been reported by the UC Santa Barbara PD and they were very nice to us. They were … sensitive. But of course they cannot give us an enormous amount of details,” said Liz 'father, said “said,” reports Friday in an interview in an interview.

Hamel, who lives in Seattle, told Fox News that his family had turned the community this week to find help with his daughter on the night when she had fallen. The university police were able to speak to the person interested within 24 hours.

“I think it was incredibly successful. … I can't say enough for Santa Barbara. It was so fast. You really helped us to advance the examination,” said Hamel. “I'm not the police. I'm outside, but it seems that they have really brought it forward.”

“A person who was identified in our dormitory was found and interviewed,” said UC Santa Barbara in a statement. “The examination has not yet been completed and we cannot currently discuss additional details. UCPD keeps the family up to date and works closely with the district prosecutor's office in Santa Barbara.

“UCPD is obliged to continue their extensive investigations to maintain answers in connection with this tragic event, and has been working closely with the public prosecutor and the Sheriff's office since the early phases of the investigation.”

Hamel said he didn't know the man who was with his daughter, and his daughter's friends. He is not a suspect in her death.

Hamel said, as far as he knows, they met in a pasta that night. “And they got on and it was Valentine's Day. So, I think that might have something to do with it. And, yes, they were only photographed together from a certain angle.

“She was great,” said Hamel about his daughter Liz. “She was our world. She is our only child. And she was everything for us. She was a real joy. And, you know, we had so happy to have 18 years with her. We wish we would have more time.” (Alain Hamel)
