Man who was caught on a surveillance video that steals from USPS mailbox outside of the Conshohocken Post Office

Conshohocken, Pa. (WPVI) – The police in Montgomery County is looking for a suspect that they say that he stole tens of thousands of dollars from checks from mailboxes in the US mail services.

The surveillance video shows a suspect that uses a string to fish mail from a mailbox in front of the post on the 400 block of the Fayette Street.

The crime occurred on April 13th at 5 a.m. However, it is far from the first event. The investigators say you have received 10 reports of stolen posts in 2025 in the amount of a total of 27,000 US dollars.

This masked hooded man could still not hide his face from surveillance.

“You put a string in the mailbox and call the mail from the mailbox,” said police chief David Lennon. “They wash the checks that steal from the actual items and change and use them to make fraudulent bank withdrawals.”

“Don't come here in Conshohocken and steal money from the mailboxes,” said Noel Wilson, who works in the city.

The neighbors did not surprise the crimes.

“If people have the motive, nothing is 100% sure,” said Alan Adams from Germantown.

“There is a camera there, Mister. Shouldn't steal because they are in front of the camera. They caught them. They are done. They go to prison,” said Wilson.
