Chicago Cubs Score and Summary (5/2/25): Cubs 10, Brewers 0

On Friday evening, the Cubs wasted no time to jump over the brewers on the American Family Field. Chicago stacked nine runs in the first two innings to bury Milwaukee and win the start of the series.

Tyler Alexander served as the start of the brewery and Carson Kelly, a Bloop -Rbi -Single met him to end his excursion. Quinn Priest took over and was welcomed by a knock by Nico Hoerner Runcoring to bring the Cubs 2-0 after the 1st Inning.

The northern coils went against the priest in the top of the 2nd inning and met a single with two walks so as not to load the bases with anyone. Kyle Tucker and Seiya Suzuki met consecutive RBI singles to increase the advantage to 4: 0.

Michael Busch had the back blow when he raised a Grand Slam opposite the field left. Pete Crow-Armstrong followed with A Long solo shot Later in the frame, which made it a 9-0 route. Ben Brown did not need this big pillow and scored six goalless innings to prevent any kind of Milwaukee rally.

Crow Armstrong beat an even deeper solo homer in the 7th Inning to bring the score to 10: 0. Chris Flexen gave his Cubs debut and set up the last three frames to achieve a saving. ((Box score)))

Key moment

Busch put the game on hold with his Grand Slam for the Cubs. It took a bad inning for the brewers and turned it into a disaster.

Why the Cubs won

The crime was productive again and the pitching also did a very good job.

Statistics that are important

  • Brown was very sharp after he was called by his manager for his last excursion: 6 IP, 0 R, 4 H, 4 K, 0 BB.
  • Ian Happ rose to the base in the first three innings of the game on Friday.
  • PCA continues to show a lot of electricity in the last month of the season.

Conclusion

The Cubs had not had such a performance in Milwaukee for a long time. It was only a month ago, but the line -up is rightly scary for opponents at this point. Crow-Armstrong becomes a star player in blinking an eye. I have no idea whether it is sustainable, but it's a lot of fun to see.

On deck

The second game of the series is Saturday at 6.10 p.m. CT. Jameson Taillon faces herself in a competition with the Marquee with the old friend José Quintana.
