The police examine a fatal pedestrian accident in Hilo

Hilo (Hawaiinewsnow) – The police in Hawaii Island opened a negligent investigation for Murder after a male pedestrian in Hilo was killed and killed on Thursday evening.

It happened shortly before 8:30 p.m. near the intersection of the Waianuenue Avenue and the Rainbow Drive.

According to the police, a car drove to Waianuen Avenue to the west when it hit the pedestrian, who was on the street and not on a marked zebra crossing.

The pedestrian, which was conscious at the crime scene, was brought to Hilo Benioff Medical Center in a critical condition. The police said he was expected to go to the Queen's medical center on Oahu, but succumbed to his injuries and was declared dead at 10.49 p.m.

An autopsy was instructed to determine the exact cause of death.

The driver, a 62-year-old Hilo woman, was not injured.

At this point, the police believe that speed, alcohol and drugs were not factors in the crash.
