Driver, who was arrested in a suspected DUI crash, in which a woman was killed in visalia, says the police, the police say

Visalia, California (KFSN) – A family in Visalia mourns after her beloved person, 59-year-old Christine Diane Orosco, known as Tina, was killed less than a quarter mile by her house on Thursday evening in a dui crash.

“It is devastating. Nobody wants to get this message, and if this tragedy could help someone drink and drive.

The Visalia police authority reacted to the intersection of Burke Street and the Kaweah Avenue at 5 p.m.

Officials say that Tina had a way in front of the way when the 26-year-old Omar Chavarria, who, according to the police, was under influence, hopped a stop sign towards the east to the Kaweah Avenue.

Chavarria fell into two vehicles, including Tina. She was taken to the hospital, where she later died.

The police say that Chavarria ran away from the crash scene, but was later arrested.

He now looks at Dui and Vehicle Totche.

Tina's brother, Anthony Orosco, says it is devastating to know that the crash could have been prevented.

“I want to forgive the driver, he is a young man. It is pointless and shouldn't have happened,” said Anthony.

“You can always call one, everything is on your phone, very easily accessible and can save a life. It can save your life,” said Liz Jones at the Visalia Police Department.

Tina was the youngest of 6 siblings and leaves 4 sons and 2 grandchildren.

The Visalia police authority will also have a DUI control point this evening.

So far there have been 3 fatal Dui accidents in Visalia this year.

The family has set up a Gofundme account.
