The security scandal of 'Signalgate' claimed its first top-class victim when President Trump removed the national security advisor Mike Waltz-Nur to appoint him as a UN ambassador and ensure that the controversy will follow him with the hearing of the Senate confirmations.

Trump confirmed Waltz 'dismissal in relation to the truth -social and said that the consultant was nominated as an ambassador for the United Nations, while Foreign Minister Marco Rubio temporarily takes over his duties.

“I am pleased to be able to tell you that I will nominate Mike Waltz as the next ambassador for the United States in the United Nations,” he wrote.

While the administration represents the UN nomination of Waltz as a lateral step, the decision of the severity of signal gate – contradicts a serious security violation that is exposed to the Atlantic in March.

Classified discussions between Vice President JD Vance, Waltz, Pentagon boss Pete Hegseth and others were accidentally leaked after Goldberg had been added to a chat in the signal group, which contained surgical details.

According to reports, Waltz and the deputy Alex Wong were released over the scandal.

In order to take on the role of the UN ambassador, Waltz must subject a hearing to confirm the Senate that the democratic opponents of the administration can raise questions about Waltz 'competence after the signal gate.

In the meantime, CNN reports that Trump's preferred NSA replacement – long friend and special representative Steve Witkoff – has rejected the offer.
