Gisele Thompson achieves the first Pro goal, makes NWSL history with Sister Alyssa history

The National Women's Soccer League officially adds two names to your record books.

Gisele Thompson from Angel City, supported by her older sister Alyssa, scored her first professional goal on Friday evening on the Audi Field in Washington, DC Alyssa sent a cross from the left to Gisele, which found the back of the network. With the aim, the couple was the first sisters to combine for a goal in NWSL history.

The gate came in the 22nd minute and gave Angel City a 2-0 lead, which became a later 4: 3 victory against the Washington Spirit. Gisele also supported Katie Zelem's 72nd minute, which ACFC gave the lead 3-2 in the 98th minute ahead of Riley Tieran's game winner.

“I am so happy that we got the victory and the sister-to-sister goal,” said Gisele after the game. “We always dreamed of it, especially in this high [level] of football.

“It is incredible and reaching my first goal was just so incredible.”

This was the moment when the two had manifested themselves since they signed contract extensions with Angel City in January. The 20-year-old Alyssa, who was the youngest player in the 2023 women of the 2023 of the US national team, agreed to a three-year expansion that she will hold with the team by 2028. Gisele, 19, signed a two -year contract.

Alyssa was the first overall election in the NWSL design of 2023 in 18 of the Harvard-Westlake High School in Los Angeles. Alyssa comes from Los Angeles and developed her skills that played for the Futbol Academy boy's boys in the Total Futbol in MLS and achieved in her debut in Angel City.

Gisele followed her sister to Angel City last year. She also developed with the Total Futbol Academy before signing a Pro contract three days before her 17th birthday. The sisters were the first high school athletes who earned names, image and similarity to Nike.

After playing Alyssa at the World Cup, she was left out for the smaller US squads for the Olympic Games in Paris in Paris in Paris from the US US squad. She returned to the national team last autumn and scored her first goal in a 3-1 win over Iceland in Texas. She played with the national team in 13 games.

Before Friday, the NWSL never had a sister-to-sister destination. Samantha and Kristie Mewis played in the NWSL, but never in the same team. Tori and Maddie Huster both played briefly for the spirit of 2018, but never teamed up for a goal.

In addition, this is the second major performance for the Thompson Sisters this year. In February, the duo was only the second few sisters who together started a US women's national team and joined the Mewis sisters, who performed side by side in three etc. games.
