1 dead after a collapse of single vehicles in St. Croix County

A 21-year-old man was killed on Thursday evening in an accident with a single vehicle in the west of Wisconsin.

Officials from the St. Croix district received a call around 10:24 p.m. for a crash on the County Highway SS near the State Highway 65 in Kinnickinnic Township.

The MPs found that a Ford excursion from 2003 had driven to the east on the Highway SS when he left the street, had rolled into the ditch and had ejected the driver.

Life-saving measures against 21-year-old Landon Lemere were tried, but he was declared dead on site.

The Sheriff's office of St. Croix County says that Lemere did not wear a seat belt at the time of the crash.

The crash is still being examined.
