NBA-Playoffs 2025: News, schedule, scores and highlights in the first round

The first round of tips for NBA Playoffs 2025 has started and fans can expect a post -season filled with a night.

Eight teams from every conference reach the first round and look at a best-of-Seven series to get ahead. All four rounds of the NBA playoffs are best-of-Seven, and the teams are not rated again after every round. The team with the better record of the regular season in every series has a lead for this series. All series are played in a 2-2-1-1-1 format with the team with the better record games 1, 2, 5 and 7 (if necessary).

The Cleveland Cavaliers claimed No. 1 seed in the east and went into the second round after he had bordered the Miami heat No. 8. The Cavs will now compete with No. 4 Indiana Pacers, who eliminated Milwaukee Bucks No. 5 in five games. The No. 2 Seed Boston Celtics continue their title defense after he only needs five games to displace the No. 7 Samen Orlando Magic. The Celtics will compete against No. 3 New York Knicks.

In the west, the Oklahoma City Thunder landed number 1 for a second season in a row behind the MVP candidate Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and was the first team to move into the second round after he had turned the No. 8 seed Memphis Grizzlies. The Houston Rockets, one of the most improved teams of the season, were in second place, but now in must-win mode against No. 7 Golden State Warriors. Lebron James and Luka Doncic led the Los Angeles Lakers to a No. 3 seed, but were eliminated the No. 6 Minnesota Timberwolves. In the meantime, the three -time MVP Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets No. 4 are locked up in a fight with No. 5 La Clipper.
