Deputy near the UC killed with a solemn procession

Cincinnati (WKRC) – Dozens of first aiders gathered after the tragic death of a Sheriff deputy in the medical center of the University of Cincinnati.

The deputy was hit and killed when he directed the traffic for the completion of the UC. A solemn procession, led by an honorary guard, escorted the body of the deputy to the Coroner's Coroner's Coroner's Office of the Hamilton County in Blue Ash, where numerous officers were waiting.

Ken Kober, President of the Brotherly Order Cincinnati, expressed the profound effects of the recent events on the law enforcement community.

“It was a tragedy after another,” said Kober.

He reflected the officials of the officials, in which a person was killed on Thursday, followed by the MP's death.

“The things that the officials had to go through to protect themselves yesterday, and today we killed a deputy who simply did his job. It's a shame, it is tragic, it is difficult to put into words,” said Kober.

Kober described the fallen MPs as a “fantastic person and fantastic MP” and emphasized the unit among the law enforcement authorities.

“It doesn't matter which uniform you wear, whether it is the sheriff department or cincinnati. It doesn't matter. We all do the same job, have the same respect and it hits the same way,” said Kober.

The procession included law enforcement authorities from all over the district that demonstrate solidarity and mourning together.

“The entire law enforcement community hurts whether it is working for the Sheriff's department or not. Friendliness goes a long way,” said Kober.

In response to the tragedy, Kober found that various resources for mental health, including the chaplains, will be available to support local officials. He emphasized how important civil servants check each other in this difficult time.

The man who killed the officer was identified as a 38-year-old Rodney Hinton Jr. He is the man's father who was shot by the police on Thursday. He is charged with severe murder.
