The family demands arrest after the man was killed over the parking lot

Houston – At a meeting in front of the Houston police department, the leaders of the municipality and family members asked for immediate measures at the fatal shootout of Abdul Rahman Waziri, a former Afghan military coach who was relocated to Houston after the support of the US forces.

A life in the service shortened

“He was a hero,” said Nisar Momand, a leader in the Afghan American community. “He served with American special units in Afghanistan for many years and risked his life to protect the freedom that we appreciate today.”

Waziri, a father of two young daughters, reported that his post in his apartment complex, referred to a discussion against parking. Lawyer Omar Khawaja, who represented the family, said: “The shooter became very aggressive … and murdered him in cold blood.”

Action of the community

Omar Yousafzai, another community leader, expressed the collective fear and frustration:

“The whole community thinks when this happens to us, what should we do then?”

Family members revealed that the alleged shooter remained in the apartment complex for days after the incident and the need of the community. “Even the neighborhood was afraid of him,” said Waziri's brother.

Questions related to the investigation

Lawyer Kawaja criticized the police reaction and issued a lack of communication and measures:

“There was no proper examination to determine who and heard what belongs from the scene.”

He emphasized that self -defense claims should be checked in the legal system:

“Self -defense is a positive defense … You cannot provoke the incident and then increase the right to self -defense.”

A call to justice

The family and community leaders ask the Houston police department to arrest the suspect and carry out a thorough examination. They emphasize that Waziri's service for the United States and his pursuit of peaceful life in America should not end in such a tragedy.

“He came here to be safe,” said his brother. “But nobody is sure here.”

The community continues to seek answers and justice for Abdul Rahman Waziri, in the hope that his victim and his life will be appropriately honored.
