5 killed, 61 in Russian attacks on Ukraine over the past day – 77 drones are reported

Russia started an overnight attack on Ukraine with two ballistic Iskander M rockets and 183 drones of various types who killed five civilians and injured at least 61, the Ukrainian authorities reported on May 3.

Ukraine's air defense forces intercepted 77 drones, while another 73 were lost out of the radar without causing damage, according to the air force report.

The most severe losses were reported in Kharkiv, where, according to the regional prosecutor's office in Kharkiv, 51 people, including two children aged 11 and 16, were injured in a mass urge attack at the end of May 2 on May 2. The Russian armed forces started at least 15 geran-2 drones in the city, sparked fires and widespread destruction in the districts of Osnovianskyi, Slobidskyi, Salivskyi and Kyivskyi.

In Mykolaiv OblastRussia started Shahed Drones in Mykolaiv City and aimed at industrial locations overnight. According to governor Vitalii Kim, no injuries were reported. Additional drone attacks met the settlements in the mycolaiv and Ochakiv districts throughout May 2.

The Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly asked for a 30-day round armisticeUkraine says on April 23 and insists on an “immediate, complete and unconditional ceasefire”.

“For over 50 days, Russia has been ignoring the American proposal for a complete and unconditional ceasefire,” Zelensky wrote on May 1st on X.

He added that Ukraine had also proposed to disturb the civil infrastructure and to establish “permanent silence” over the country, sea and air.

“Russia reacted all of this with new shelling and new attacks,” he said.

A night with the 3rd attack brigade doctors in a new age of the war
