The National Medical Commission canceled 14 MBBS approvals and suspended 26 students because of its role in Neet-UG 2024 paperleck

Neu-Delhi: The National Medical Commission (NMC) has canceled the approval of 14 MBBS students for the academic year 2024–25 and managed the suspension of 26 other students who were found to use unfair means in the examination of Neet-UG 2024.

The step follows the results of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which examines the alleged leak and the widespread misconduct in the national medical inspection.

The national admission cum entrance test (NEET) is an extremely competitive examination that is carried out throughout India for admission to medical universities. As part of the ongoing probe, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has already excavated 42 candidates from Neet-UG for three years-2024, 2025 and 2026 and other nine candidates for the 2025 and 2026 sessions.

In addition, the candidacy of 215 students who appeared for the examination of 2024 was put on hold.

An official source said that the NMC had given the affected medical universities to enforce instructions for enforcing the immediate suspension of the 26 MBBS students who are stimulating in fraud.

The Commission reaffirmed its “zero tolerance” petanz to academic fraud and said that it was obliged to maintain the credibility and transparency of the medical training system.

This campaign is only carried out one day before Neet-UG 2025 is to take place on May 4th.
