The Triston Casas from Red Sox suffers a significant knee injury after stumbling at the first basis

Boston Red Sox's first Baseman, Triston Casas, suffered a “significant knee injury” after stumbling against the Minnesota Twins on the first basis in the game on Friday, said manager Alex Cora.

Cora added that Casas was shocked when he and the team trainers came to the field to see Casas after the fall.

At the end of the second inner, Casas met a groundball and tried to hit the litter for the first basis of Twin's Pitcher Joe Ryan. The left knee of Casas seemed to be published when he stepped on his pocket. He fell to the ground with pain and immediately grabbed his left knee.

Casas stayed on the floor while the coaches examined him. The medical staff later extended Casas from the field and brought him to a local hospital.

Romy González took over in the game for Casas, and the Red Sox won 6-1.

The 25 -year -old Casas competed in the game on Friday. 279 with 11 RBIs and three Home Runs 28 games this season. He missed most of the 2024 season with a rib injury and only played in 63 games.

Casas was not the only major League player who was injured on Friday evening in an incident at the first basis.

In the game of Cleveland Guardians-Toronto Blue Jays, the Guardians' José Ramírez left the game with what the team described as “mild right ankles”. Ramirez hit a low place from Blue Jay's starter Chris Basitt and sent a dribbler back into the hill. Bassitt quickly played the ball and fired a throw to the first base, where he hit Ramírez in his back when he closed himself in his pocket.

Ramírez left out a stretched glove from Blue Jays Jay's First Baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and stumbled forward after the ball hit him and passed over the base. Ramírez fell past his bag and rolled on the back. He stayed down for a few moments, felt on the right leg and later left the game next to the medical staff under his own power.
