Chicago (WLS) – The Chicago police issued a warning after a woman was seriously injured in the Englewood quarter on Sunday morning.

The incident took place around 1:39 a.m. in the 6900 block of the South Ashland Avenue.

The police said a 28-year-old woman crossed the street when she was hit by a white or silver four-door SUV, who then fled out of the scene.

The woman suffered injuries from the crash, the police said.

The police said that the white or silver -colored SUV was possible and has a temporary white cardboard sign in the upper left corner of the rear window.
