ICE and US Border Patrol Assist in local studies for sex crime, on which illegal alien was previously deported

Houghton Lake, Mich-US immigration and customs authority and US limital police support the Sheriff office of the Roscomon County in the investigation and arrest of an illegal foreigner who was accused of raping an 18-year-old girl on April 25.

Investigations for ICE Homeland Security Traverse City Special Agents and USBP agents from the USBP station Sault Ste Marie assisted in the fear of Leocado Hernandez-Garcia, an illegal foreigner from Mexico that was removed twice from the USA.

Hernadez-Garcia faces five crimes for criminal sexual behavior.

Hernandez-Garcia was deported from the USA in 2014. He was met again in 2023 and excluded under title 42. He entered the USA a third time to an unknown date and place without inspection of an immigration officer.

“Ice HSI Detroit is committed to helping our local partners such as the Sheriff office of the Roscommon County for crimes with illegal foreigners in their jurisdiction,” said Ice HSI Detroit, the reigning special representative Jared Murphey. “At that time, our thoughts are with the victim and we hope that these recent steps can help her on the way to recovery and healing.”

“This is another example of the results that we achieve through strong partnerships with our local and federal law enforcement agencies,” said Javier Geronimo Jr., Deputy Stripent from Detroit Sector. “Thanks to this cooperation, a repeated immigration offender who is accused of raping a teenager is arrested together with two other illegal foreigners. We are still obliged to protect our community through teamwork and vigilance.”
