I have never received a payment to influence the NSS scandal, but … – Plus to AG

The Gomoa Central Legislator, Kwame Asare above, popularly known as A-Plus, has ever contested payment of influencing the investigation into the scandal (National Service Secretariat).

The MP from Gomoa Central made an official explanation on Friday, in which he clarified his position according to accusations, which he claimed to be connected to a fake social media account that spent him.

The controversy results from a recent press conference of the Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine, where he referred the requirements of the account and asked the A-Plus to answer questions about the NSS scandal.

In his explanation, A-Plus stated: “I have never received a payment from the NSS, and I have never contacted a business or indirect-ego with the secretariat to suppress or influence the matter in any way in any way.”

However, he revealed that his only connection to this topic was in November 2024 when a person turned to him and claimed to be wrongly accused in the scandal.

A-Plus admitted that his intention was to help an accused person search for media regulation.

“The only time that I came into contact with the topic was in November 2024 when a gentleman turned to me and claimed that he was wrongly accused. As a media personality and majority shareholder at a Ghanaian media company (as explained in my explanation of my assets), he was looking for my help to clarify his name through media associations,” he wrote in the explanation of May 3..

The MP insisted that, as a media personality and majority shareholder of a media company, he offered to help the accused person to share his side of history through media business.

He added that “if this support as an attempt to suppress the case is wrongly interpreted, I am respectful of other opinion,” he said.

“I am firmly convinced that every defendant deserves to be heard.”
