Maliq Brown injury update: Duke basketball player leaves the first half against Georgia Tech

Maliq Brown from Duke Basketball seemed to ask for his left shoulder in the first half of Blue Devil's Acc-Devils ACC tournament against Georgia Tech on Thursday.

Brown played six minutes, but left the place at 4:58. He immediately grabbed his left shoulder when he went to the tunnel with the sports coach of Duke Head, Jose Fonseca. Duke scored a 78-70 win against the yellow jackets.

Brown was one of the best defenders of Duke throughout the season. He originally injured his left shoulder in Virginia on February 17 and missed four games before returning against UNC in the final of the regular season.

Brown missed Duke's victory against the incarnated word on December 10th with a toe injury and missed four more games in January because of a knee stiffening.

The Duke remained 14 points against the yellow jackets at the time of the injury of Brown, but used a strong second half to achieve the comeback win.

Jon Scheyer offers injury update on Maliq Brown shoulder

After Duke's victory against Georgia Tech, head coach Jon Scheyer delivered an update over Maliq Brown's shoulder injury. It is not good news for the Blue Devils who play UNC or Wake Forest in the semi -finals on Friday.

“Maliq was in great pain,” said Scheyer. “He re -dislocated his shoulder. We got him a carry just to tolerate the pain. He has great pain. He is now in the hospital.”

Will Maliq Brown play again in the ACC tournament, the NCAA tournament?

It is unclear when Maliq Brown returns for the Blue Devils. When Scheyer was asked for a timeline, he said about the forecast “he would rather not speculate”.

“Obviously he will miss time, no matter what happens,” said Scheyer. “I mean that it will be – is there a chance at some point?
