Chicago – With thousands of abstracts presented at the annual conference of the American Association for Cancer Research, it is difficult to keep up with the latest progress and data. As with every meeting, this year's conference was full of presentations and posters, in which new innovations in the treatment and prevention of cancer or for early detection were detailed.

The Matthew Herper and Angus Chen of Status were on site, heard meetings, considered poster, spoke to the participants and took up the AACR highlighted in the press conferences. To see what your feeling for the conference was, you can see the video of the AACR summary of Stat, where we discuss these highlights, including research that could help change the strategies for cancer prevention worldwide, and promising data on new immunotherapy medication. Stat also survived some of the differences in this year's meeting, including the emphasis on the Lawyership for Cancer Research by AACR leadership in a time of political upheavals in relation to science in the USA. [Matt and Angus begin their discussion at the 6:44 mark.]
