Mitch Jebb acclimatized in the 1st year at Double-A well on the plate

Prospect Watch

Mitch Jebb

position: CF/2B

Height: 6-foot

Weight: 185 pounds

level: Double-A Altoona

If this edition of Prospect Watch was written a year ago, Mitch Jebb's position details would read differently.

The Center Field is the main position of Jebb, a new development for the 22-year-old, a draft of the second round (No. 43) of the Pittsburgh Pirates from the state of Michigan.

Jebb was primarily a Middle-Infield in the entire college and in 2024 at Low-A Bradenton and High-A Greensboro, whereby Shortstop was his defensive bread and his butter.

At the end of last season, however, Jebb had seen 10 games and 88 Innerings in midfield with the grasshoppers.

As Jebb, the overall brochure of Pirates No. 13 Pro MLB pipeline, the curve developed in 2025 as a new position of the focus.

By Thursday, Jebb played 12 games in the center and six in the second base. Jebb has not yet made any mistakes in 106 Innerfeld.

It is too early to speculate how Jebb will continue to adapt to life as an outfield.

Jebb, however, has encouraged encouraging results in his time at Double-A, as he lowered two doubles and four RBIs .284/.402/.313.

Jebb has not yet met a Homer, with 17 of his 19 hits are singles, but he ran more (14) than he beat (11).

It was a strength for Jebb to find a way to get to the base that takes seventh place in a basic percentage in a basic percentage in the Eastern League.

Often when the players climb the ladder and have got used to a harder environment and a stronger competition, a kind of waste is to be expected.

But Jebbs work this season is stronger than what he did in Greensboro in 2024 when he lowered over 113 games at a high level with six Homers and 42 RBIs .253/.341/.355.
