PSG Talisman is a doubt about a second leg against Arsenal to make a possible thrust for Gunners

The star striker of PSG, Ousmane Dembele, is a doubt of the injury for the semi-finals of the Champions League with Arsenal.

The Frenchman scored the only goal of the game in the first leg when PSG scored a 1-0 victory to string back the Princes Parc.

But the French champions have announced that he suffered a thigh injury and will not play a role in their game against Strasbourg on Saturday.

“Ousmane Dembele tense his right thighs,” said the club in a statement. “His condition is well advanced.

“Another assessment will be carried out shortly.”

After the victory against Arsenal, PSG chief Luis Enrique seemed optimistic above Dembel's chances of playing in the second leg, but insisted that his site can deal with his absence when it comes to.

“We will try to bring Dembele back on the pitch,” he said. “If Ousmane can play, it is better, but if he doesn't, we will still be a real team. We have said that since the beginning of the season.”

In the meantime, Mikel Areta refused to exclude Jorginho, Riccardo Calafiori or Kai Havertz with the squad for the second leg.

Jorginho has been out on his chest since last month after an injury, while Calafiori has not played for the Gunners since March after he had injured Italy in international service.

Areta said both would stay against Bournemouth on Saturday.

In the meantime, Kai Havertz will probably return this season after he has been eliminated with a thigh injury since February.

“I think so,” said Areta. “I think if everything goes the way it works at the moment and how it is planned, he will think he will have the chance to play a few games in the season.

Whether one of the three in the second leg could play against PSG, he said: “I would not exclude them all. Let's see how they react.”
