Promising NC State Basketball Transfer Target now elsewhere

By landing a promise of the Congolese Center Paul Mbiya on Friday, the NC State Basketball program may have come out of the dispute over another of his offseason goals in the former Big man of Louisville, James Scott. The 6-foot 11, 220 pound tribe for the Auburn Tigers, born from Fayetteville, NC, the newly suspected favorites in the eyes of some national college basketball insiders.

Scott, who spent a season at the College of Charleston, before becoming a full -time starter for the cardinals last season, entered the transfer portal before the deadline almost two weeks ago. In 2023 he arrived at the College of Charleston as a three-star preparation ranking no. 38 among the centers in the class, by 247sports. Now Scott is checking out as a four-star portal prospect ranking No. 109 and No. 12 in his position.

Although the Wolfpack now looks like a long shot to add James Scott to his deep line -up of newcomers, the coaches in Raleigh are the perceived leader for No. 1 -Point Guard in the portal in the former Memphis. And they still follow a few more talents.
