Fatal crash SH54/ Coeur d'Alene Drive, Spirit Lake, Idaho |

The police and the police from Idaho State Police and Spirit Lake examine a fatal accident with two vehicles, which took place on May 3, 2025 at the intersection of the State Highway 54 and Coeur d'Aleene Dr, Kootenai County, Idaho.

Preliminary examinations show that a motorcycle from 2022 Honda in Touring-style, which was driven on SH 54 by a 61-year-old woman from Spirit Lake, Idaho, on SH 54 near Coeur d'Aleene Dr. D'Aleene dr, and fell into the Honda.

The driver of the Subaru wore his seat belt at the time of the crash and was unharmed. The driver of the motorcycle wore a helmet at the time of the crash and succumbed to the injuries at the crime scene.

The traffic on SH 54 was blocked in both directions for about two hours to enable the procedures to support the participants.

It is assumed that alcohol has a factor.

The Coroner's Office of the Kootenai County will publish the name of the deceased after the next kin has been notified and the cause and type of death will determine.

This incident continues to be examined by Idaho State Police.
