2 women killed, the child critically after they were hit by the vehicle in Winnetka, say sheriffs, say sheriffs

Two women are dead and a child is in a critical condition, according to the Cook County's Sheriff, after being hit by a vehicle in Winnetka on Friday evening.

At around 6 p.m. the vehicle drove south on the Chuch Road when the victims hit the child in the stroller at the crossroads of the Meadow Road.

The child was brought to a local hospital in a critical condition.

One of the women died at the scene. The other was declared dead in a local hospital.

One of the victims was identified by the medical examiner office as a 37-year-old Sediqeh Samadi. The identity of the second woman was not published.

The driver and passenger in the vehicle were also brought to a local hospital to treat non -life -threatening injuries.

The office stated that there is no indication of a foul, but the examination continues.
