A landlord in Illinois who killed the six -year -old Wade Wade Alfayoumi and attacked his mother in a hateful knife was sentenced to 53 years in prison.

A man from Illinois who fatally stabbed a six-year Palestinian-American child and seriously injured the boy's mother was sentenced to 53 years in prison.

The 73 -year -old Joseph Czuba was found to be guilty in February for murder and hate crimes

The attack took place in Plainfield, about 40 miles from Chicago, where Czuba room had rented the family. Prosecutors said he had attacked her for her Muslim faith.
