The EU meets Tikkok with 600 million US dollars punishment in the China data scandal

So what happens if one of the world's largest social platforms is caught saving European data in China?

The EU leaves a bomb of 530 million euros (600 million US dollars) and Tiktok not take it quietly.

Although Tikkok contested it beforehand, he admitted to the Irish data protection commission that she had actually kept the EU users' data in China.

Oops. The platform is now facing the second largest fine in EU history.

The supervisory authorities say that Tikok did not do enough to protect this data from curious eyes – especially among Chinese surveillance laws.

The deputy commissioner Graham Doyle did not crush any words: Tikok “could not be checked”.

It was also “not guaranteed” that the information from European users was really safe from government potential snooping.

How is Tikkok's answer?

“We have never handed over data to the Chinese authorities,” emphasized the spokesman Christine Grahn.

“We will fight this decision.” But that could be a hard sale.

The app of the app that reinforces the EU data security now seems to be a clover with a few leaves.

Even worse? This chaos drives even more US control.

The legislator is already threatening a total ban if Tikkok does not link relationships with his Chinese parent.

In the digital age, privacy is gold and tictoks learning how expensive it can be.
