1. IFON/ILOBU/Erins: Group urges the Resolution Committee to accelerate measures to solve the community crisis

Dee Osun Monitors, one of the Pan-Political Group, has lodged the border dispute resolution committee set up by the Osun government to examine the crisis in IFON/ ILOBU/ ERIN-OSUN to accelerate measures and to give the warfare communities permanent peace.

The group's coordinator, Prince Jide Akinyooye, asked the state government in a statement on Friday to continue to relax the curfew, which was imposed on the warfare communities, and found that it would bring a quick socio -economic recovery and promote local companies.

2. FRSC gets a new sector commander in Osun

Leye Adegboyega was appointed the new sector commander for the OSUN RS11.1 command by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

3. Osun 2026: PDP leaders step back

Otunba Olujobi Ajibola, a well -known political strategist and respected stakeholder of the local government Osun, Otunba Olujobi Ajibola, has submitted his resignation from the Democratic Party of the People's Prosecutor's Office (PDP).

The defender of Osun reports that Ajibola, who is a top adjut for the spokesman for the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, PhD, made his resignation public after his return to the country.

In a formal letter dated May 2, 2025 and to the chairman of PDP 4, Ward 4, Obokun Local Government, he declared his decision to withdraw as a member of the party with immediate effect.

The letter was partially read: “Please accept this as a formal communication of my decision to withdraw as a member of the PDP with effect from today, May 2, 2025, as a member of the PDP. I wish the party all the best in your future activities.”
