Iowa Hawkeyes Legend Caitlin Clark reveals injuries update

The legend of Iowa Hawkeyes, Caitlin Clark, did not play on Saturday afternoon due to a leg injury at the pre -season in Indiana Fever.

Clark said she experienced “just a little tight” on Saturday morning. She took part in warm -ups with the fever, but the medical staff finally excluded them.

It is the first game that Clark missed in six years.

Indiana's coach, Stephanie White, said that the team plays it as safe as possible with Clark, who won the WNBA Rookie of the Year Award last season.

“I mean, look, the greatest thing is that we have to think in the long term,” said White about Chloe Peterson from the Indianapolis star. “We have to make sure that we are not exposed to Caitlin for injuries. We do not put our team in a position in which we think in the short term and not in the long term. It is a long season, four more games last season. So we would like to make sure that we are particularly careful and primarily use your health.”

The fever, which was played in Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday, will travel to the Brazilian national team in the Alma Mater in the Alma Mater in the Alma Mater on Sunday in the Alma Mater.

Hopefully Clark will be able to play in front of the Iowa fans, but obviously Indiana will be very careful with his star guard, which is completely understandable.

Clark achieved an average of 19.2 points, 8.4 assists, 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals over 35.4 minutes per game at 41.7/34.4/90.6 shooting columns last year.

The 23-year-old spent four years with the Hawkeyes and established himself as a scorer of the NCAA in the all-time scorer both in men and women's basketball. In the course of her college career, she achieved an average of 28.4 points per game and won players of the year in 2023 and 2024.
