The balance was canceled by CBS after five seasons, with the axing causing fans angry.

The crime drama, a restart of the original series of the 1980s, focuses on Robyn McCall (Queen Latifah) because it uses its extensive skills to become the guardian angels of New York City while protecting the vulnerable.

After five successful seasons, the first of which was premiered in 2021, Variety reported that CBS canceled the series, with the episode on Sunday (May 4) serving as the final for the entire series.

Latifah confirmed the news with a contribution on Instagram and wrote: “In a kick-ace role like Robyn, everything I hoped for. Shakim [Compere] And I am always looking forward to bringing such roles and projects to life at Flavor Unit – and then we only hope that they love them as much as we do.

“The balance I have past every dream that we had for it and the opportunity to do so honestly for five seasons. Many thanks to our amazing line -up, crew, producers and writers! And I can't say enough about the fans!
