Chicago (WLS) – A man was stabbed and killed on the city near the south side on Saturday morning.

The stitch occurred around 10:30 a.m. in the 3500 block of the South Rhodes Avenue, said the Chicago police.

The location of the crime scene is less than a block that the US Congressman Jonathan Jackson removed the US office.

The Chicago police said that a 39-year-old man was near a sidewalk when an unknown perpetrator was approaching him and stabbed him with a sharp object.

The victim was taken to a hospital where he was later declared dead, said CPD. His identity was not yet known.

No arrests were made when the police in Chicago continued to investigate.
