Victims and suspects who were identified in the murder suicide in Legends

The two people who died in a shootout in Legends in the Johnston Street on Saturday morning were identified.

Samantha Breaux, 27, from Church Point, was shot. Jonovan Dauphine, 30, from sunset, also died at the scene. Officials say that the two were in a relationship and that the shootout is in national nature.

Early information shows that Breaux was shot before Dauphine committed suicide.

The shootout occurred shortly after 8 a.m. in the shop in the 4500 block of the Johnston Street.

The case remains checked. No further details were shared.

The Lafayette police authority is investigating an incident that they say that he seems to be murder self-murder.

The officers responded to a call around 8:15 a.m. on Saturday in the 4500 block of the Johnston Street. The police confirmed that the incident at Legends, a company in this area, took place.
