Barcelona offers Gavi injury update after midfielder has been pushed against Real Valladolid

The Barcelona star Gavi was replaced late against Real Valladolid, which imposed the fear that the midfielder had hit an injury and that El Clasico will be missed the next weekend.

The midfielder fell through the grimation and seemed to experience a kind of knee-inhuma in the last minutes of the 2-1 win.

Hansi Flick sent Eric Garcia in his place, but it seems that Gavi is okay. Gerard Romero reports that he did not capture any injury and that it was simply an “overload”.

Flick also spoke after the victory over midfielder:

“I think Gavi is doing well. It is not a injury, or at least I hope that it is not the case. After the game, he said that he was fine, but we have to wait and see tomorrow.”

Gavi had successfully avoided a booking during the game that would have been a ban on a match and had excluded it from Clasico the next weekend.

However, it sounds like it is available in the game, which could ultimately decide the title.

Barcelona's victory against Real Valladolid means that Flick's Side are now seven points ahead of Madrid, who plays Celta tomorrow and may win the title in El Clasico.
