Vallejo-Bethel games lead the highlights of the week An-Times Herald Online

After the baseball team of the Vallejo High School lost a hard game against Hercules last Friday, head coach Josh Ramos was asked: “How will your team get back to this defeat and jumped back next week?”

“It will be easy to achieve the players for the next week because we have Bethel,” said Ramos with a grin. “So the boys will be excited and have so much energy to play their cross-town rivals. So this game will have no disappointment and it will be exciting to see it.”

In the ongoing new Weekly column, the Vallejo Thomas Guide, I will help to watch TV this week when it comes to sports. I will also offer a few beech decisions to read while the commercials are switched on.

High school baseball and softball

It is on site the last week in the Tri-County Athletic League for the regular baseball, and that means that Vallejo and Bethel will fit together. The two teams will exchange senior days, first on Wednesday in Bethel and then on Friday in Vallejo.

No team has a shot to win a league title, but a playoff spot could stand for Vallejo. You will probably need a sweep-the Redhawks are really on the fence with an overall record of 10-8 and 5-5 in the league game.

The Vallejo Star -Schlagmann David Bernstine III, who collects goals like Taylor Swift, currently has a thigh injury, but Ramos said the Cal Commit was every day.

In the meantime, Vallejo played Bethel in softball on Monday before ending the regular season in Kennedy on Wednesday. Neither Vallejo nor Bethel will probably make the softball playoffs.

St. Pats will probably also miss the off -season in Softbll, but the baseball team is good. The Bruins in the Tri-County Athletic League Stone Division are first of the two competitive ones of the two Tcal leagues. The Bruins play John Swett, which is only one game of first place. St. Pat's is in John Swett on Tuesday and will return home in Vallejo on Thursday.

Benicia has two baseball games this week because the Diablo Valley Athletic League Action heats up. The first game is on Tuesday and the second on Thursday against the same team against Clayton Valley Charter at home.

American Canyon plays two baseball games with Petaluma this week, on the road with the Tuesday game on the street and the Thursday game.

Benicia will play softball against Northgate on Tuesday and on Thursday. The Panthers still have a few weeks in the regular season and are 3-1 in the Diablo Valley Athletic League.

Boys'

Benicia is 8-2 in the Diablo Valley League and prepares for a likely playoff run. The Panthers play at home twice this week – Tuesday against the Ygnacio Valley and on Thursday against Alhambra.

athletics

Vallejo's athletics team has a league meeting in DE ANZA on Thursday, while Benicia is in Campolindo at the Diablo Athletic League championship processes on Saturday.

NBA playoffs

The Warriors tried to take over a 3-1 series in front of Houston on Monday evening, but regardless of the result, the two teams meet in Houston in Houston on Wednesday. If there is a game 6, it would be in San Francisco on Friday.

My favorite part of this series was Dillon Brooks, who called Draymond Green as a dirty player. He does not lean wrong, but talks about the kettle who calls the pot black. As Wendys says, McDonald's have unhealthy food.

The winner of this series will take over the winner of the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves series. Game 5 of this matchup is located in Los Angeles on Wednesday and it will be a time for the Lakers for the Win-Or-Go home.

When the Lakers fall, the fans of Los Angeles may turn to the Clipperers, who are currently in an outstanding matchup with the Denver Nuggets, with the series bound with 2: 2. The Nuggets seem to be apart after the shooting of head coach Mike Malone, and how they won two games (a controversial one at the end) is everyone's assumption.

If you want a drama, New York against Detroit may be just the thing for you. The Knicks run this series 3: 1, but it could be easily the other way around. The referees have already admitted that they made a mistake at the end of game 4, but this does not relieve any pain for the pistons, which now have to win three games in a row. The squads are in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday before returning to Detroit in game 6 if necessary.

NHL playoffs

The Los Angeles Kings won the first two games of their fourth episode against the Oilers, just to see how the Oilers come back to tie the series. Who in this game 4 in this game 4 in this game 4 in a playoff hockey game in overtime described a penalty? Seriously, what's next? Bunting to break up a perfect game? Call travel in an NBA game? Make a rule to benefit the defense any Way of an NFL football game? If someone does not fall off, no penalties should be called in the extension of a playoff hockey game.

Anyway, the Oilers will play in Los Angeles, Edmonton on Thursday and a possible game 7 in LA on Saturday. In fact, there is the possibility to see a few games 7 on Saturday. Minnesota and Las Vegas as well as Dallas and Colorado both have their series 2-2 and would play elimination games that day.

baseball

The Major League Baseball time plan manufacturer did a little different this year. For some reason there were hardly any matchups between the San Francisco Giants, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks. In the meantime, the Dodgers have played the Cubs in three different time zones seven times.

That is why the NL West fans will finally see some matchups against each other (without the 20-game colorado rockies in Pace-to-Sieg) if the Giants visit two games for two games from Tuesday. The Giants will come home from Thursday to play Colorado.

Other important matchups this week are Arizona at the Red Hot-New York Mets, the Dodgers in Atlanta on weekends as well as Seattle in Texas and the Cubs in Milwaukee.

Horse racing

Oh yes, the most overvalued sporting event of the year – the Kentucky Derby – is on Saturday. It will be hours of reporting with people in the most ridiculous outfits of all time (because they like the most overvalued book ever – “The Great Gatsby”) so that they can see an event that takes about two minutes.

Two minutes.

Jerry Seinfeld said best about horse racing.

“I am sure that the horses have an idea that the jockeys are in a hurry. He is on him and hits him with the matter, he is in a hurry,” said his field. “But the horse has to come to the end and say:” We were only here, that was the longest route they could go. If we had only stayed here, we would have been first. “

Anyway, if you have two minutes of free time, take a look at this event, but I would rather see a game 7 of the playoff hockey.

Books to read

“Steve Kerr” by Scott Howard Cooper, “The Dream” by Mirin Fader

To see film

“Seabiscuit”, which is about 72 -times longer than the Kentucky Derby.
