1 dead, several others injured in the ferry in Fla after the boat.

One person was killed and several others are seriously injured after a boat accident in Florida.

A boat met a Clearwater ferry with over 40 people near the Memorial Causeway Bridge in Clearwater before leaving on Sunday, April 27th, around 8.40 p.m. around 8.40 p.m., the police from Clearwater said in a Facebook post.

The authorities declared the crash to a “mass accident incident” with “several serious injuries”. The police confirmed that a person died of their injuries. The male victim was not identified at this point.

“The fire brigade declared it as a mass accident before an incident because of the number and severity of the injuries,” said the police in their post. “Six patients were declared as trauma warnings, two of which were transported by the helicopter.”

All injuries to the crash came from the ferry, the police confirmed X. All patients and passengers were finally removed from the ferry when they rested south of the Memorial Causeway Bridge.

The ferry transported crowds of people for the sugar sand festival completed on Sunday, reported CNN.

A passenger said to ABC partner WFTS: “We only enjoyed the trip and suddenly we hear the first buddy:” Hey, Hey, Hey. “And then we looked back behind ourselves and this big yacht just came through the boat.”

The six people on board the boat, which collapsed into the ferry, reported that the scene reported. The boat was later found by another law enforcement agency, reported ABC News and quoted the US Coast Guard and the Clearwater Police.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission will lead to investigating the crash, the police said.

Police spokesman Rob Shaw told WFTS that the authorities testify to witnesses with information about the crash to report.

People contacted Clearwater Police and the US Coast Guard for further comments.
