The former NFL quarterback Alex Smith has only admiration for his long-time friend and ex-teammate Travis Kelce-but when it comes to asking favors in which Kelce's top-class relationship with Taylor Swift is involved, Smith draws a clear limit. In a recent appearance on Rich Eisen Show, the former star of the Kansas City Chiefs announced an open view of why he never – and probably never – and probably never – to ask concert tickets to appear Swift.

Alex Smith respects his friendship with Kelce too much to ask about Taylor Swift

While Taylor Swift's Eras -Tour continues to ask records with over 2 billion US dollars for revenue and her global fan base is only stronger, it is not surprising that her friend Travis Kelce has become one of the hottest tickets in conversation. Nevertheless, Smith, who played five seasons with Kelce in Kansas City before the start of the Patrick Mahomes era, does not use her bond for personal profit.
“I didn't beat him,” said Smith Rich Eisen when he was asked if he had ever requested concert tickets. “I don't expect either. He has enough people, I am sure that he is preparing it.”

It was not just a polite distraction – Smith was emphatic in his attitude, even after Eisen had pointed out that Greg had been asked Olsen. Smith didn't move. “These are also special relationships. And to ask for a handout … from his girlfriend? It's just not my thing.”

No jealousy, just proud of Kelce and Mahomes' evolution

What noticed the most was Smith's tone – not one of bitterness, but of real pride. When the conversation with Kelce's relationship with Quarterback Patrick Mahomes shifts, Smith illuminated with respect and admiration.
“These boys are like step brothers outside the field,” said Smith. “They are so incredibly close – they are constantly giving themselves such a direct feedback.”
He also mentioned her latest business. “I think you have just opened a steakhouse,” added Smith and referred to her growing partnership beyond football.

For Smith, who played a key role in designing the early day of Kansas City's current dynasty, Kelce and Mahomes thrive. He does not need a VIP seat in a Taylor Swift concert to feel connected -the history and friendships he built are enough reward.
