Clippers fans flew from owner Steve Ballmer for Game 7 against Nuggets to Denver

La Clippers fans gather between the Clipper and the Nuggets before game 7 on Saturday.

Denver (ap) – The Los Angeles Clippers brought a “wall” of support for game 7 against the Denver Nuggets on Saturday evening.

With the kind permission of team owner Steve Ballmer, more than 100 Clipper fans were flown to Denver and gathers behind one of the baskets to deliver additional noise. It is an expansion of “The Wall”, a section for the group of superfans who packs the intuit dome – also behind a basket – for Clipper's games in Los Angeles.

“'The Wall' is developed into an international phenomenon”, “ said 27-year-old Sam Dash, a long-time Clipper fan who made the trip. “Everyone is talking about it. This (in the ball arena) is like a celebration for 'The Wall' because it was such a great success.”

The members of the travel party landed in Denver on Saturday morning. They were spoiled with Chick-Fil-A before the game, had first-class seats and were allowed to fly out after the final of the first series.

They were also reinforced and decorated in Clippers equipment. Ballmer even came by for a motivating speech before the game.

Dash, his father Ron and her friend Jay Turner were in front of and in the middle for the campaign. They are part of “The Wall”, known as “The Swell”, which leads the cheers and upset the crowd.

“To sit in 'The Wall', you can't be a fan of another organization.” Sam Dash explained. “You will literally assign your seat to when you appear in a Lakers jersey.”

Dash is a committed Clipper fans since he saw Chris Paul and Blake Griffin.

“I like the underdog mentality and the fact that we actually win,” said Dash. “People don't talk about it, but we win. We have a great balance if you look at our 20-year span.”

The 46 -year -old gymnast has been a clipper trailer since 1996 when he visited the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena.

“I just thought that the fan base had something special for the Clippers.” Turner said. “It was family -oriented and had team spirit. I couldn't get enough of it. I've been a fan ever since.”

The same applies to Ron Dash, 71, a New York Knicks supporter before adopting the Clipper.

“Just a loyal clipper fan,” he said.
