Kentucky Derby Watch Party collects money to benefit UW health patients and families

Madison, Wisconsin (WMTV) -the people gathered on Saturday in colorful suits and beautiful guardians and gathered in the Edgewater Hotel in Madison for the 8th annual Kentucky Derby Party to support patients and families from UW Health.

A jazz band in New Orleans style played live music, while the guests mixed and enjoyed refreshments with a view of the Lake Mendota, followed by the Kentucky Derby on the big screen.

Bob Staufacher, President of the Friends of UW Health Board, said that the event is a great way to collect money for programming.

“It is only able to be with everyone here and let people know what friends of UW Health do and what we support,” said Stauffacher.

All income from games and raffles benefit friends of UW Health.

The party was free and open to the public.
