Fake Queen's doctor who is accused of botched cosmetic surgery appears in court

A man who was accused of trying it out as a doctor and giving a woman a botched cosmetic process in whom she faced a judge on Monday when the victim's grieving family spoke.

According to the authorities, Maria Peñaloza, 31, died after a cosmetic intervention in the Astoria apartment of Felipe Hoyos-Foronda, whose public prosecutor's office had wrongly exhibited as a doctor on Tikkok.

Peñaloza, a mother of two small children, was looking for the procedure in which Hoyos-Foronda injected lidocaine to remove but implants after pain. During the operation, she went into a cardiac arrest and was declared brain dead.

The public prosecutor says that Hoyos-Foronda was arrested at JFK Airport and tried to flee to Colombia.

Hoyos-Foronda was charged with a manslaughter clock to the Queens Criminal Court on Monday.

“I never thought she would die like this. She told me: 'Mom, you will live with me and the children,” said her mother, Gladys Cabrera Medina.

“For me he is an assassin. He is a threat to society because he was ready to flee at the airport,” added Cabrera Medina.

“You will always have this hatred of someone who has done something so painful,” said Peñaloza's father Jaime Peñaloza.
