Simi Valley, California (KABC) – A small one -motor plane fell into two houses and caused a fire in a quarter of Simi Valley on Saturday afternoon.

The aircraft's pilot, a passenger and a dog died in the accident, confirmed the Simi Valley police authority.

Note: The fire department of Ventura County initially said that the pilot was the only person on board. In a later update, Simi Valley PD said two people and a dog had died.

The crash occurred around 2 p.m. in the 200 block of the High Meadow Street in the Wood Ranch.

As a result, a fire broke out of the second alarm, but was put down.

Two houses were damaged in the crash. Air7 flew across the scene, where a house had considerable roof damage and debris around the property. A neighboring house seemed to have less damage.

Both affected houses had residents inside, but luckily nobody was injured, said the FD of Ventura County. About 40 firefighters reacted to the scene.

The couple who lives in the house and had the greatest damage looked down the plane and just got out in time. They told Eyewitness News that they noticed that the plane almost flew on the side and turned to the ground.

The family's ring camera has captured an explosion and flames that come from the back of the house in an impact.

“But I came to the patio door to warn it, and then I heard the bang, then I turned around, it was almost outside,” said homeowner Arman Hovakemian. “The hose was there, so I reached for the hose because I saw the fire in the plane, and then I saw the fire in the house. I kept the hose on the plane and then he just exploded, so I dropped it and said: 'I have to withdraw because I could smell a lot of bas and fuel.”

Hovakemian said firefighters had to cut the roof of the house to reach the fire. He said it was also extensive damage to his house.

The examination, which led to the crash, continues. The FAA said that the pilot, which was not immediately identified, drove to Camarillo Airport.

The FAA released the following explanation:

The aircraft traveled from William J. Fox Airfield in Lancaster and drove to Camarillo Airport. The FAA and NTSB will examine. The NTSB will guide the examination and provide all updates.
