Emilio Garcia was only 16 years old. On Saturday, the family members of Emilio Garcia were able to create a donation flag in the UC Health Parkview.

Family members said that Emilio Garcia would look for other children in the neighborhood throughout his life. They say Krdo13, if he knew that they had no safe home he could go to, he would take them to dinner and stay the night.

Now they mourn the loss of their brother, son and nephew too early, but grateful that he can give others to others.

“He is still a hero. His story is not enough. His story still takes time. And he only proves how much hero he is more than just us,” said Emilios mother Sharon Garcia.

In honor of Emilios love for cars and motorcycles, his family plans a procession for his memorial service. The service will take place on Friday, May 9th, at 2 p.m. in the Pueblo Mount Carmel Center.

“I would like to have as many cars and motorcycles on the street for him as possible,” said Emilios Augustino Garcia's brother.

If you want to help the Garcia family in this difficult time, the family has conducted a fundraising campaign that they can find here.
