Interested by drug scandal!

Johannesburg – The South African fast bowler Kagiso Rabada announced on Saturday that he was serving a ban on cricket for drug use for leisure remedies.

The 29 -year -old Rabada returned to South Africa for personal reasons last month after playing only two games for Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League.

In a statement by the South African Cricketers' Association, Rabada said that his absence was “a disadvantageous analytical finding for the use of a leisure drug”, of which he said he had served preliminary suspension.

In the explanation, the length of the suspension was not given or played again as Rabada, but Rabada said: “I look forward to returning to the game that I like to play.”

Gujarat still has four games in the IPL league, starting with a game against Mumbai Indians on Tuesday. The team is also well placed to qualify for the play-offs after they have won seven of their 10 lights.

Rabada is South Africa's leading quick bowler. He performed 327 gates in 70 tests and is expected to play a key role for South Africa on June 11th in the final of the World Test Championship against Australia at Lords in London.

In his statement, he said: “I am deeply sorry for everyone who has disappointed. I will never keep the privilege of playing cricket as a matter of course. This privilege is much greater than me. It goes beyond my personal efforts.”

He added: “This moment will not define me. I will continue to do what I have always done, constantly work hard and play with passion and dedication to my craft.”
