Arkansa's baseball second Baseman Nolan Souza injured in victory against Georgia

The Arkansas Baseball Dave van Horn said that the second Baseman Nolan Souza will miss the rest of the series of this weekend against Georgia and could be “much longer” after an upper body injury on Friday evening.

The SECN+ broadcast showed that Souza was sitting on the bench with his right arm in a noose and resting a large ice cream bag on his shoulder after leaving the game in the fifth inning.

Razorbacks No. 1 defeated No. 6 Bulldogs with 13: 3, but Souza's injury sets the dominant victory.

“I don't know much yet. He hurt it quite badly,” said Dave van Horn.

With an out in the tip of the fifth, Souza hit a double from the wall on the left field. The next dough was Justin Thomas, Georgia, the third Baseman Slate Alford, hit a hard floor ball.

Souza should have stayed on the second basis, but he made a mental mistake and scored third place. The Hawaiian second Baseman tried to avoid a day from Alford from the left of the base line and make an attempt to dive on the pocket. Alford still turned the day and the collision seemed to lead to Souza's injury.

The second student was slow this spring, but has been alive in the past few weeks. Souza had an average of 0.354 blow in his last 10 games and increased his season average to 0.250. He has four homes and 22 RBIs in the season.

Nolan Souza will go to Home Plate on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, during the 4-1 win of Arkansa's baseball against Oral Roberts.

The newcomer Gabe Fraser took over on Friday evening for Souza in the second base and could be the full -time rate while Souza is injured. Fraser delivered an RBI triple in his first bat and reached with a home game in 22 bats this season .227 .227.

The Hogs and Bulldogs will play the second game of the series on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.
