Canelo Alvarez added another title belt in the middleweight to his collection after gaining a unanimous decision in Saudi Arabia.

Alvarez (63-2-2, 39 Kos) secured the victory over William Scull after 12 rounds and has been aiming for his first knockout since 2021, but that must wait.

The DAZN commentators strongly criticized Scull's performance and expressed their displeasure about his constant movement during the game.

Alvarez is not an unknown for box matches during the Cinco de Mayo celebrations. His first game and his unanimous decision victory hit Shane Mosley on May 5, 2012.

William Scull, a 32-year-old Cuban, is now 23-1 with 9 Kos.

Alvarez has the WBC, WBA and WBO belts. Scull had won the IBF belt when he defeated Vladimir Shishkin.
