Driver who was killed on Friday evening on the Bay Bridge during multi-car crash

One man died and another injured after a high -speed accident with four cars in the Bay Bridge was involved on Friday evening. The crash temporarily closed the i-80 lanes western direction near the slope.

According to the KTVU, a collision with four cars on Friday evening, according to the California Highway Patrol, had a man with four cars late on Friday evening. The crash, which took place around 11:15 p.m. to the west of the I-80 near the slope, led to considerable traffic disorders and temporarily four lanes.

According to CHP, the incident began when a white Genesis sedan who traveled at high speed, noticed a slower traffic in front of us and left a silver Toyota Corolla behind. The impact triggered a chain reaction, which caused the crown to collide with a second silver Toyota, which then fell a fourth vehicle – a gray Toyota.

The driver of the Corolla suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital, where he was later declared dead. His identity was not published, but civil servants confirmed that he was male. Another person involved in the crash was taken to the hospital, although their identity and their condition remain unclear.

An earlier report had proposed that drugs or alcohol played a role, but now CHP has found that impairment is not regarded as a factor. The drivers of the Genesis stayed at the scene and worked with the authorities.

The total number of people involved and the full extent of the injuries are still determined. All lanes in the west were opened again shortly before Saturday when the examination continued.
