Cory Sandhagen uses Devisonson Figueiredo due to injuries

Des Moines, Iowa Bantamweight Cory Sandhagen defeated Deiseson Figueeedo on Saturday evening in an unexpected way and forced the former two-time fly weight champion because he had injured himself in round 2 after one leg lock.

Round 1 of the top 5 main event at the UFC Fight Night was all sandhagen. He took Figueiredo to the ground and overwhelmed him with strikes, while Figueiredo did not allow himself to feel comfortable.

The fight was over at 4:08 a.m. of round 2.

Sandhagen (18-5 MMA) later called for a title shot this year and found that someone of Figueireedos caliber significantly increases their credibility. In the meantime, Figueireedo (24-5-1) returns to the drawing board.

“I want the winner,” said Sandhagen, when he plans to keep an eye on the UFC 316 main event between Bantamweight Merab Dvishvilli and Sean O'malley on June 7th in Newark, New Jersey

The bantam weight of Montel Jackson had little problems defeating Daniel Marcos and securing a unanimous decision of 30-27 on all three judges.

Jackson (15-2) handed over Marcos to his first loss in 18 fights, while Jackson won six times in a row and presented a rounded qualification with constant pressure in round 2 and 3.

Bantamweight Serhiy Sidey won a unanimous decision against Cameron Smootherman 30-27, 29-28, 29-28 in a fight in Wrestle. Sidey (12-2) won his last two, while Smootherman (12-5) fell 1-1 in the transportation.

Light Mason Jones opened the main pass of the UFC of Moines by spoiling the return of Jeremy Stephens with a unanimous decision win with 30-27, 30-27, 30-27 to train shower from Boos from the crowd of the Wells Fargo Arena.

Jones (16-2) checked the center of the octagon with effortless boxes and several attempts to submit.

Stephens (29-22) returned to the UFC for the first time since 2021 after jumping over various disciplines, including boxing with bare knuckles.

It was the first trip of the UFC to Iowa since June 2000 when the focus was on UFC 26.

The campaign will get out on May 10 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, from the middle west for UFC 315.
