The victim identified as Satyendra Vishwakarma slept in his clinic in Malouli village when three attackers arrived on a motorcycle around midnight. They posed as customers and knocked on the clinic door and looked for medication.

As soon as Vishwakarma opened the door, they attacked it, the police were quoted by the PTI news agency.

According to the village home, the pharmacist tried to escape the attackers, but was chased down and then beaten with sticks.

Vivek Chandra Nag, a local teenager, tried to stop the attackers, but he was also attacked by them. However, the excitement in the area alerted the neighbors, who then hurried to the clinic and forced the attackers to flee.

A seriously injured Vishwakarma was taken to a hospital by the police where the doctors declared him dead. The native village of Dadia Mau had completed a pharmacy course and he has been leading the clinic since 2024.

Vishwakarma's mother Gangotri Devi reported that her son had a dispute over a piece of land and trees with Santlal, Kishore, Rajendra Prasad and Lal Bahadur from the same village. She accused the four men to kill her son.

Sudhir Kumar Singh, Officer of the House Officer station (Sho), said that in this case a case was submitted on the basis of a complaint by the victim's father, Ganga Prasad. “We ask several people and examine CCTV film material from the clinic. The culprits will soon be arrested,” he said.

In Sultanpur, the police said on Sunday that a 55-year-old man was beaten by two attackers from drivers. The victim Ram Khiladi worked in his vegetable field when he was attacked with sticks.

Khiladi was brought to the Community Health Center in Dostpur, but was declared dead by the doctors.

His son said his family had a personal argument with a Ram Sanjeevan.
