Anthony Joshua to undergo an elbow surgery after a violation

Anthony Joshua's return to boxing has been delayed after the British heavyweight has shown that he needed an elbow surgery.

The two-time heavyweight champion has been out of service since a defeat against Daniel Dubois in Wembley in September, who served as a significant blow to fight Tyson Fury in a long-term fight.

While Eddie Hearn's promoter suggested that the encounter could still happen, Joshua admitted that he first had to concentrate on “doing my body correctly” before thinking about returning.

“At some point in May I have to have a small surgery over my elbow, a small operation,” said Joshua to the broadcaster DAZN, while defeating Canelo Alvarez William Scull from Ring.

“Maybe that will leave me from the gym for six to eight weeks and then, as soon as I'm healed, I'm back.”

The 35-year-old won 28 of his 32 professional battles, although he lost his titles in the first of back-to-back defeats against Oleksandr USYK in 2021.

While Fury has again announced his retirement from boxing, the high -towering heavyweight has indicated that a comeback with another top -british talent in Joshua may have an appealing view.

The couple was regularly associated with a fight because every high -successful career was forged, but still meet in the ring.
