Sturgeon man killed by shooting, suspicious in custody | Mid-Missouri News

A 56-year-old man from Sturgeon was shot in the Northern Boone County on Saturday evening.

According to a Facebook post of a sheriff office of a Boone County office, the MPs responded to a shot in the Block of 18900 of the North Highway NN around 8:30 p.m., which the caller reported that two men were involved in a fault and that one man shot the other.

A victim found at the scene was treated by several emergency staff, but he finally succumbed to a gunshot wound.

The MPs found and identified the 31-year-old Dalton Perkins from Sturgeon when he tried to flee the scene.

According to the Boone County Jail list, Perkins was arrested for murdered second degree, armed criminal measures, domestic bodily harm and illegal use of a weapon.

The staff of the Boone County Fire Protection District, the Boone Hospital Ambulance Service and the Columbia Police Department also reacted to the incident.
