Prime Video Head: “We believe in the theater window |”

In a Fireside discussion at Avia's Future of the video India The conference, part of the first Audio -Visual & Entertainment Summit (waves) of the first world, Kelly Day, Head of the International & Vice President, Prime Video, and Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President, Asia -Pacifik & Mena, Prime Video, discussed Prime Video's Growth strategy with a special focus of India.

The day divided a perspective on the developing visual experience worldwide on the grounds: “We understand that people are picky what they see in the theater, but we think that the opportunity to bring the audience together and make a theater experience is still quite magical. We believe in the theater window.” She emphasized that not every film takes this path, Prime video that is customer-oriented but is ambitious to deliver the best possible experiences for customers for both theater and streaming windows and to underline that “we will continue to experiment to ensure that we not only maximize the opportunity to maximize, but to ensure that we are one year.”

This conviction of offering an increased and versatile experience is seamlessly combined with the wider vision of Prime Video, becoming a really comprehensive entertainment center. As Day explained: “We think it is unique. It begins with how we want to be the first place that people think when they want to see something. We know that as a streaming service we cannot necessarily produce everything that hundreds of millions of around the world could possibly be in the mood to observe.

Gaurav Gandhi, Vice President, Asia Pacific & Mena, explains Prime Video, who explains Prime Video's proposal in India: “Global, we have hundreds of add-on subscription partners. When you look at Japan, we already have over 70 partners and India have already built and grow.” With regard to film rental as a category, he mentioned: “We do the category for TVOD in India. We have more than 7,000 titles for the rental service and see around 60 percent of the tenants every month. We see that rental renting comes from 95 percent of Indian pincodes.”

When asked where the Prime video is positioned in the APAC region and India, Day said: “Prime video is one of the more unique global streaming services. We work in a little more than 200 countries and territories all over the world with a little more than 200 million Prime customers worldwide. Our business is relatively unique in the countries in which we have Primes in 25 countries. As an independent streaming service.”

Gandhi expanded this strategy with a specific reference to India and said: “India is a very important area scheme for Prime video. It is still a big growth engine for both to freely freely deal with new customers and with Prime members. India is also a large content center for us. Nowadays, Prime Video India has one of the greatest slates of original content outside of the USA. We want to program your offers in 10 languages.
